Sri Lanka Festival 2008
Sri Lanka Festival 2008 is scheduled to be held at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo on 13th & 14th September. The objective of the Festival is to enhance awareness among the Japanese people of the varied facets of trade, culture, tourism etc. of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Festival 2008 is scheduled to be held at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo on 13th & 14th September. The objective of the Festival is to enhance awareness among the Japanese people of the varied facets of trade, culture, tourism etc. of Sri Lanka. The world famous Ceylon tea, spices, exotic fruits, semiprecious stones, costume jewellery, organic and herbal products, batiks and handicrafts will also be displayed and sold in over 100 trade booths at the Festival. Internationally reputed Sri Lankan dance troupes and musicians along with popular Japanese artists are expected to perform at the festival. In addition delicious Sri Lankan “ready to eat food varieties” will be available at many stalls. The theme will be “Sri Lanka – the Paradise Island”. Accordingly greater prominence will be extended to attracting Japanese tourists to Sri Lanka. The Embassy of Sri Lanka is the organizer of this event.
