SLBCJ Hosts Successful Press Conference for Yoyogi Sri Lanka Festival
The Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan (SLBCJ) hosted a press conference on April 15th, 2024, to announce the upcoming Yoyogi Sri Lanka Festival. The event saw an unprecedented turnout, with over 50 media personnel in attendance, making it a resounding success.
During the conference, generous contributions were acknowledged, emphasizing the spirit of unity and collaboration within the SLBCJ community. Mr. Kreshantha, Mr. Chandika, and Mr. Thilak were recognized for their donations of tea packets, traditional Sri Lankan biscuits, and kitul syrup, respectively. The contributions from these members were deeply appreciated and highlighted the strong support for the festival.
His Excellency, the Ambassador, delivered an insightful speech about the significance of the festival and the role of SLBCJ, which was expertly translated by Madame Perera, showcasing the cultural exchange and cooperation between Sri Lanka and Japan.

In a message of appreciation, one member highlighted the outstanding contributions of Mr Jitendra and the entire team, expressing gratitude to Udaya, Naveen, Chandika, and Yoshida for their dedication. The absence of Mr Jagath was noted, with reassurance that the event was a testament to his legacy and a valuable training ground for future leaders.
