We are thrilled to share some exciting news with all of you! Our SLAAJ members recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in the book launch event for "Venerable Yalagamuwe Dhammissara: The Sri Lankan Prelate Upholding the Theravada Tradition in Japan." The event took place at Unryouji Japanese Temple in Hachioji, Tokyo on June 18th, 2023, from 14:00 to 17:00.
We take immense pride in announcing that our very own member, Mr. Chintaka Jayasinghe, who also serves as the president of the Dhayaka sabhawa, played a crucial role as the chief organizer of this event. His dedication and hard work ensured the success of this significant occasion.
Moreover, we had the privilege of having several other dedicated members among us who participated in the book launch. A special mention goes to Mr. Saman Priyangkara, Mr. Ramzan, Mr. Anil, and myself. Your active involvement greatly contributed to the event's success, and we are truly grateful for your participation.
During the event, the venerable Thero expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all our association members for the tremendous support we provided for his recent medical expenses. It is moments like these that showcase the strong bond and unity within our community.
