Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan (slbcj) is formed in line with the policy direction given by the Overseas Business Promotion Program launched by the Ministry of Commerce & Consumer Affairs of Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan is a non-profit and voluntry organization working with the Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan.
The inaugural meeting of the Sri Lanka Business Councilof Japan was held at the sri Lanka Embassy conference room on 9th October 2003, with a participation of 61 japanese and Sri Lanka business representatives in Japan.

Since its establishment in 2003, the SLBCJ has been dedicated to strengthening trade, investment, and tourism relations between Sri Lanka and Japan, while also supporting the growth and development of the Sri Lankan business community in Japan.
When I first became a member of the Sri Lankan Business Council of Japan, I was a 25-year-old young businessman beginning my professional journey. Through the Business Council, I was fortunate to gain many valuable experiences, particularly in organizing business events, cultural programs, and festivals that promote Sri Lanka in Japan.
